Attendees of the 2018 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), taking place October 30–November 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada, will be among the first to see the automotive lighting portfolio of Tungsram Group with GE and Tungsram brands in booth #3233. In April, GE Lighting announced the sale of its business in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Turkey—as well as its Global Automotive business—to Tungsram Group.

"We are both proud and humble to have the chance to continue the long history of Tungsram as a globally successful, innovation-driven brand with the integration of many GE Lighting products into our trusted portfolio,” says Joerg Bauer, President & CEO of Tungsram Group. “The whole organisation is refocused to support our customers and partners, always asking ’What more can we do for your success?’ and embracing the flexibility and the agility of a startup company.”

In the last five months, Tungsram has continued its operations as a stand alone company with secured transitional support from GE. Customers, employees and suppliers have experienced uninterrupted service, and they can expect to continue to be supported by the same trusted colleagues who have served them all along now that Tungsram has finalized integration of the former GE Lighting products into its portfolio.

Tungsram’s automotive division has been successful in the world market for 60 years, both in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and aftermarket spaces. Today, Tungsram has a fully vertically integrated supply chain network with advanced capabilities around glass, ceramics, metal and plastic, combined with state-of-the-art quality systems, automation and smart factories. Moving forward, the company plans to invest significantly in LED solutions as the technology grows in popularity within the automotive market year after year, building upon its historical success as a premium lighting brand.
